RTS S.p.A. at the Hydrogen Technology World Expo 2026 in Hamburg

Hydrogen must be stored and transported before it can provide value anywhere. That is exactly where RTS S.p.A. comes in. From October 20 to 22, 2026, the Italian manufacturer will showcase its product line for compressed gas storage and gas transport at the Hydrogen Technology World Expo at Hamburg Messe (Hall B6, Booth 6E25).

RTS designs and manufactures MEGCs, tube trailers, cylinder bundles, and stationary storage systems for hydrogen, natural gas, biomethane, and technical and industrial gases. Production takes place at two company-owned sites in Italy: Roverbella in the province of Mantua and Sermoneta, south of Rome. Engineering, piping, frame and vessel fabrication, assembly, and testing are all performed in-house. This shortens lead times and enables the development of customer-specific solutions that go well beyond standard catalog equipment.

The focus is on equipment designed for daily operation. MEGCs and tube trailers are used for hydrogen logistics between producers, refueling stations, and industrial users. Cylinder bundles are delivered to filling plants and gas distributors. Stationary storage systems supply refueling stations, electrolysers, and industrial consumers. Transport equipment is designed and certified in accordance with ADR and TPED, while stationary systems comply with the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.

Storage and Transportation as the Backbone of the Hydrogen Scale-Up

The market context is clear. The ramp-up of hydrogen in Germany and Europe will largely take place without a comprehensive pipeline network for years to come. Production, off-take, and refueling sites are geographically dispersed, and volumes and locations change faster than infrastructure can be built. Trailers and mobile storage are therefore not a temporary workaround but the backbone of the supply chain. Anyone planning electrolysis projects, refueling stations, or industrial fuel switching needs transport and storage solutions that can adapt to changing volumes.

RTS bases its approach on direct technical dialogue. Rather than relying on standard packages, designs are tailored to the customer’s actual operating parameters: pressure levels, filling cycles, approval requirements in the destination country, available floor space, and integration with existing plant facilities. Customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom are served by a dedicated local office based in Düsseldorf. Inquiries, technical design, and quotations are handled locally and in direct coordination with the production sites in Italy.

In Hamburg, the focus will be on specific projects. Anyone planning storage capacity, trailer designs, or bundled solutions can discuss design issues directly with the engineering and sales team. Meetings can be scheduled in advance.

Ende Oktober präsentiert Purem by Eberspächer beide Lösungen live auf der Hydrogen Technology World Expo in Hamburg.
