Manufacturing Process
Electrolysis is widely used to produce hydrogen. In this process, water is split into oxygen and hydrogen using electricity. If the electricity used comes from renewable sources, the resulting hydrogen is referred to as green hydrogen. Other production methods include pyrolysis or the further processing of biomass. In these processes, biomass—such as agricultural waste products or municipal sewage sludge—is converted into hydrogen.
