RTS designs and manufactures MEGCs, tube trailers, cylinder bundles and stationary storage systems for hydrogen, natural gas, biomethane and technical and industrial gases. Production takes place at two company owned sites in Italy: Roverbella in the province of Mantua and Sermoneta south of Rome. Engineering, piping, frame and vessel fabrication, assembly and testing are all done in house. That shortens lead times and makes customer specific solutions possible well beyond catalogue equipment.
The focus is on equipment built for daily operation. MEGCs and tube trailers serve hydrogen logistics between producer, refuelling station and industrial user. Cylinder bundles go to filling plants and gas distributors. Stationary storage systems supply refuelling stations, electrolysers and industrial consumers. Transport equipment is designed and approved to ADR and TPED, stationary systems to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.
Storage and Transport as the Backbone of the Hydrogen Ramp-Up
The market background is clear. The hydrogen ramp up in Germany and Europe will largely happen without a comprehensive pipeline network for years to come. Production, offtake and refuelling sites are geographically separated, and volumes and locations change faster than infrastructure can be built. Trailers and mobile storage are therefore not a temporary workaround but the backbone of supply. Anyone planning electrolysis projects, refuelling stations or industrial fuel switching needs transport and storage solutions that adapt to changing volumes.
RTS builds this on direct technical dialogue. Instead of standard packages, designs follow the customer’s real operating parameters: pressure levels, filling cycles, approval requirements in the destination country, available footprint, integration with existing plant. Customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the United Kingdom are served by a dedicated local representation based in Düsseldorf. Enquiries, technical design and quotation are handled locally and in direct coordination with the production sites in Italy.
In Hamburg the emphasis will be on concrete projects. Anyone planning storage capacity, trailer concepts or bundle solutions can discuss design questions directly with the engineering and sales team. Meetings can be arranged in advance.
